Post your nominations for January photo of the month here!... The POTM competition HAS A PRIZE FOR FIRST PLACE!!.... at the moment the prize is a TPF mini mag-lite, as pictured it comes in red, black or silver.
RULES:
1) You may nominate up to THREE photos, no more.
2) Please include the name of the photo and the name of the photographer.... you can't nominate yourself.
3) You may nominate any photo posted during the month of January in the galleries. Photo must have been taken by the poster.
4) If someone else has already nominated a photo, please do not nominate it again. It makes it very confusing when it's time to make the voting thread. If a photo is nominated twice, your post may be edited or deleted.
5) The same person can only recieve the POTM prize for winning, twice in a 6 month period. This person can still win POTM, but the not the prize repeatedly.
How to nominate: Just right click the picture you'd like to nominate..... go to 'properties' and paste the location into the image icon on this thread..... its easy!
....exclusively for all you TPFer's who love your GAMES!
It was felt our Off Topic forum was getting a mite crowded with these types of threads. Since they're not something that everyone enjoys seeing, a subforum seemed an appropriate way to keep them together.
Based on member feedback, we have modified the former "Bi-Weekly Photo Assignments" subforum. It has evolved to become its very own forum, located under Foundations of Photography, and is now called Photo Assignments & Technical Challenges.
It is hoped that this approach to photography assignments will both help and inspire you into trying different approaches and techniques with your photography. There is no official set time limit (unless stated for a particular assignment) so feel free to post as many images as you'd like. Discuss the results and get feedback from your peers!
In addition, we have relocated "Photoshop Challenges" from Themes to Foundations of Photography, as a subforum to Photo Assignments & Technical Challenges. We believe it will be a more suitable fit in this location.
Remember, both of these forums are meant to be member-driven - please feel free to discuss among yourselves any variations on guidelines to posting, and stop/start new assignments however you wish.
We hope you enjoy the new arrangement. Happy shooting!
Hey all - Thanks to a suggestion from TPF member Coldow91, we have revised our former "Equipment and Reviews" forum to the new Photography News & Reviews forum.
You can still use this forum to post and read reviews on the latest equipment, but this will now also be the place to post any photography-related newsworthy bits - such as product updates, manufacturer announcements and the like.
Thanks to Coldow91 for the suggestion! We appreciate the ongoing interest from our members in making TPF a great photography site for all.
