Thank you. I always bug my best friend in Denver and tell him Canadians celebrate it before the Americans because the Pilgrams stopped here first.... we gave them food and beer and then they continued farther south

Morning y'all. After an extremely warm fall the temperature seems to be dropping here. According to the weather we might see some patchy frost in the morning.

Lost a friend yesterday, he was the brother of my ex, he was only 60, and I've known him since he was a little boy. When the ex & I divorced her family wasn't very happy with her, and much to her chagrin has remained very close to me over the years. Doug was the baby of the family and could be mischievous, irritating, funny, endearing and thoughtful, all in the space of a few minutes time.

Sorry for your loss. May the memory of him be a blessing to you.

Went and got a pedi this morning. I had to twist my husband's arm to get a pedi with me a few years ago. After our daughters badgered him, he finally relented. Well, now he has to go ever time I go! He has tried to persuade his male friends to go and they refuse. He was sold on the massage and hot wax

I want to do one of those pedis where you put your feet in a container of water, and little fish remove all the dead skin from your feet. I'm find with pedis, but I'll draw the line at Brazilian waxes...

Wow stepped outside with Phoebe just after dawn, someone left the freezer door open, no frost, but it was darn close!

Took DW's car in Wednesday last week for oil change at the dealer. After she started home, check engine light came on. Back to dealer next day, seems something amiss in the EVAP system. They claim it was coincidence that a EVAP purge valve went bad, course they didn't have it, so had to order. Told us it was okay to drive. Sunday after church, stopped to fill up. Afterwards it wouldn't start, sat there for 15 mins trying, till it finally started. Called them Monday, they have the valve but can't get us in till Friday. At least it's covered under warranty.

Woohoo! A Scots friend has invited me on the great haggis hunt! There's a limited window in which to hunt them, and you have to go out in the middle of the night, because they hide so well during the day. We are allowed two haggii per person. We'll get them and prep them for Burns Night in January. Menu will be haggis, tatties and neeps, and bottles of Belhaven and Glenmorangie Quinta Ruben 14 to wash it down! Should be a fun time for all!
