It's not a film camera.

do you know how to use it?

Yes. Tie one end of a rope to your boat. Tie the other end to the camera and toss it overboard. It should work fine.

I hope you are not the person who payed the $195 for this unit on e-BAY! I mean, that's where the photo came from, from that auction.

You plug it into a VHS tape recorder. That camera was intended to be a "living room" only device. Stupid idea that did not work. Kinda like APS in the film world...........:azzangel:

THAT'S DISGUSTING!!!

I want to mention that I own this exact same model of Panasonic Newvicion video camera, which my Dad bought brand new when I was born, and I still own today. It still works perfectly, and I still use it today. The camera is still very reliable, and it produces wonderful pictures & audio quality. My family & I made a lot of home movies with this camera & VCR, which I also still have today, so I have a lot of good childhood memories of it, and it's still one of my prized possessions that will never be for sale.

Just this weekend, I made a home movie of myself playing with my cat on this camera. I watched the tape on my TV, and it's still just as good as ever.

Seriously, this insult is loathsome.

Farewell.

Funny how whenever someone trashes a piece of gear, some one always sets the record straight. Some are always quick to think, if they don’ know how to use it and cant figure it out, or have moved on to some thing better, that means the piece of equipment is trash. One person’s garbage is another person’s treasure. It’s terrible how some people try to shame others into accepting their opinion.

But I’d question straight up, who is smarter, the person who finds a use for old gear, or the guy who tries to shame him for trying?

Old thread from the past. Besides me the other 3 are no longer here. And I still think it was a stupid idea.
