Update, I've now upgraded to a full frame camera D780 so lots to learn, the lcd screen is orange colour when lit not sure what I've done in the menu or how to correct it. any help much appreciated again, thanks.

Is there anything about the LCD color in the user's manual?

I'm a complete novice, when i took a couple of test photos indoors late evening without the flash they turned out with an orange tint. well the only light we had on was the reading light with an orange shade , lesson learnt.
