Sony Cyber Shot DSC W7 live view assistance

Hello again folks,

Need some help with my vintage Sony DSC W7.
When the camera starts I am not able to see live view of the object in the LCD screen.
I have read the Manual but not been wiser.
I enclose a snapshot of the LCD view. This remains the same no matter what mode I pick.
If I click with this mode, I get blank image or video on the memory stick.

I tried full reset, still the same.
Appreciate any tips members can give. Thanks a lot
