Hi,

I'm doing color processing with Arista RA-4 Developer. I want to know how many times you can replenish a single batch of developer and Blix? Is it just once? Also, how long about does the replenisher preserve the developer? I'm using Fuji FUJIFILM EC-RA P1S Developer Starter Replenisher.

The Fuji "starter" is only to make a fresh working solution. You should use the Arista developer stock with no "starter" to replenish that working solution.
I replenish my BW fixer and have used that same fixer for 2 years now, BUT I am developing 150-200 rolls a month so regular use is a must.

Replenish rate is listed in the PDF for Arista...... https://www.freestylephoto.com/pdf/product_pdfs/arista/AristaRA4.pdf
Fuji PDF.... https://asset.fujifilm.com/master/a...5d23f77fc39c56d52c6871dd3d0c147/600005405.pdf

Ok...so Just to clarify, the starter is just like the Arista RA-4 kit, and then I would have to buy the replenisher separately.

Correct. The starter is for starting or activating the developer. For the replenisher use the same mix as for the prime solutions, but leave out the starter.
So take out the appropriate amount of chemical per how many sheets of paper you use (replenish rate) then add that same amount of fresh chemicals.
Oh, it might be a bit difficult if you are using a drum roller, in that case I would do a one shot.

Hi,

One last question: Can I use the starter instead of the RA4 Kit? provided I dilute it enough? I would not buy replenisher, since I do not process many rolls of color film.

I just read the Arista tech sheet in full.

You DO NOT NEED starter..........

From tech sheet...........

"Arista RA requires no starter solution. Only one mix is required for both working and replenishment solutions."
