What's new

What are you watching on TV right now?

Watched this doc last night on VHS (3 tape set $2 thrift store find).

Fantastic doc, highly recommended. Might be on YouTube?

Watched this on my LCD TV. Does it count? Everyone should see this. :)

Just finished "1883." WOW!

Just finished "Russian Doll" season 2.........for me not as good as season 1. Found it difficult to follow and had to rewatch several eps. Not sure I care if a 3rd season is coming.

Liked Season 1 but never got back around for 2. Looking forward to starting the next season of "Bosch: Legacy" tonight. Slightly offbeat, character-driven cop show. Besides his cool house, he plays lots of jazz vinyl on a vintage audio system. Nice...

oooooooooooo.... for sure have to check that show out.
Spotted some Ohm Walsh 4 speakers and a pretty Marantz 'table in earlier seasons.
Drool-worthy...Nothing wrong with obsolete product placement, right?
Music? A sample:

I've been re-watching "You" in anticipation of the final season coming out later this month. I really like that series, and it always gets me thinking. I find the actor who is cast as the main character to be incredibly attractive, and I assume many others do as well which I think was very intentional for that casting. The main character is a stalker and serial killer, and the series is narrated through his point of view. The man is crazy and a horrible person for obvious reasons, but the choice in casting such an attractive actor and the fact that the entire show is his point of view and he believes himself to be a wonderful person, which makes me wonder if the creators wanted to intentionally put a spotlight on how easily people are sympathetic towards that type of person, when that person is physically attractive. Anyways, I hope the main character gets life in prison, but I won't know until the final season comes out later this month.

I also re-watched Ted Lasso recently, again. I recommend it to friends, and then inevitably end up binge watching it with them. It's my favorite series though, so I don't mind at all.

Lately "online" I found a link to an old Korean show called "Producer" that starred IU and other stars (I'll try to post their names later). I saw it before. Would I recommend it? Only for historical significance. The only translation is what is spoken in Korean is translated (poorly) into English, and then, only after it is said. I'm not sure how I saw it before, but I saw it with better subs than what I'm seeing this time. I guess that as-is, it's worth seeing for maybe 20 min? Just to be able to say, "oh, that's what their talking about." The show was broadcast on KBS in 2015.
[2025-04-22 The other stars were Kim SoHyun, Kong HyoJin and Cha TaeHyun]

We watched "Flow" the other night based on recommendations from friends. I normally wouldn't bother with an animated film, but this one was more than worthy of my time.

There's not a human or a spoken word in it. Somehow it still managed to be a nail biter, funny, and visually striking all at once. Definitely deserving of the Academy Award that it won. Highly recommend.
