Purple Gallinule. This bird (waterfowl) is born with almost fully developed feet both in size and strength. It's amazing to watch one flit about on the lily pads or up in the reeds with the dexterity of a chimpanzee. The snail shell to his right is the delicacy known as the Apple Snail.
