The Coffee House

I don't know. :( It’s a real disaster out there. So many displaced people, and several have been killed. Businesses, homes destroyed. The Santa Ana winds whipped it into a frenzy.
With all of the devastation I've seen a few heartwarming videos. Canada sent their Super Scooper planes. Impressive how the plane swoops down to get water over the ocean. Mexico sent a fleet of helicopters and thousands of volunteer firefighters. Saw a group of over 100 firefighters that landed in Canada on their way to CA from South Africa singing in the airport. A celebrity was moving parked cars so firetrucks could get thru the street. There was a traffic jam at the Pasadena Humane Society of people dropping off donations. The CWK was there with food. They are at most disasters around the world.

FYI, California is reviving a 19thC program of using "incarcerated people" to fight the fires for S10/day. Nice, eh?

I find it hilarious that snow is in Alabama and Texas and Toronto is all green! LOL
Actually, Toronto wasn't "all green" this month. We eventually got snow, and cold winds. Lately it's "not fun" range weather. At least that's my opinion. . . . .

We definitely got some white stuff - not a lot, maybe 2-3" overall. It's staying cold, so it won't be leaving anytime soon, either. But the streets are clear, it's dry, no interruptions anywhere. It's January in Michigan, ;)

We got a bunch of snow/ice last week. Could only get to work once with a ride from a co-worker. FINALLY got out of my garage yesterday and made it out of the snow/ice covered alley way with my 99 Mustang. Parking in the street to till this stuff clears.

Meeting cancelled, so shovel/snowblower action instead all morning around here and the family ruin. Dumb fun with some new prints and an old toy.

Looks like a little accumulation at the northern abode. Yesterday the Ring doorbell alerted me to someone outside - turned out to be Lazy Lobster shoveling the driveway.

I’ll probably head back in February as I have a doctor’s appointment in MD at the end of this month. I’ll start looking for one up there soon.

I feel like I haven't slept in days, having terrible nightmares lately. Struggling to even do anything. I sure hope I get some sleep tonight.

Happy Monday Hosers! Our snow is mostly gone, with just a few areas hanging on. Temps have been getting up to 50F during the day. We are expecting another system in a week, but they can't decide if it will bring snow or not. One day yes, the next no. Wonder how many folks are trying to return the excess TP they panic purchased last week.

Try Moonbrew. It's pricey, but it works fairly well for me, helping me to sleep, and I'm a chronic insomniac. I also take full spectrum CBD sleep gummies, so the two work together. I'm not as sleep deprived as I used to be.

That looks like mushroom stuff..not for me haha. I'm a little weary about sleep supplements...some say it works, some don't. Maybe it depends on the person. I struggle sleeping during winter for some reason, it may be during the warmer months im way more active.

@nerwin heck with Moonbrew, try Moonshine!!! In particular

I guarantee if you drink enough of it, you'll either sleep or not care. LOL
Amen. My old Dad recalled serious 'shine drinkers were known for the always-fresh cut on the bridge of their noses left by Mason jars.

I haven't touched alcohol in probably 3 years. I don't drink anymore. Never liked the taste or how it made me feel and it's expensive lol.
