Oh boy. Need a new furnace. The one in my new house was installed in 1993 and WAY over sized for a 900 sq foot home. AC is newer so I hope it will be OK. I'll find out how much in the next hour when the project manager comes to evaluate. Thinking somewhere between 4-5k. Oy!

Thems painful numbers! Replaced an oldie at the family ruin last year. Rusted-thru heat exchangers--hugely dangerous for CO leakage--got it condemned and gas officially disconnected on the spot. Father-in-law couldn't see the risk--yikes! Total bill about double your estimate but the place needs a big-a$$ unit. Far warmer now. Heat pump in your future if the AC is iffy? Fingers crossed for an affordable outcome.

G'morning all, big sleep in "accidentally" after yesterday. Got to meet the 2nd magpie "Dusky" but i missed the shot, was still half asleep when i rushed out the back and the camera was in the wrong mode & wrong shutter speed.

I got something but its blurry, 1/60th hand held. Not sure it's gonna be worth posting and or keeping.

So 2 new shiny beaks in the world, Mr & Mrs Magpie have done well...

Absolutely! It’s gorgeous right now. 78F and breezy. We were going to try to go out to a sandbar to swim with stingrays, but the charter captain said due to wind and weather they won’t be able to sail until after we depart next week. Oh well, an excuse to volunteer for another deployment…

Im not going outside today, got a bit cooked on the adventure yesterday. The boys have 1/2 a day in the camping area then there coming inside infont of the aircon for the rest...

Had to murder a fish, hook was in his throat and i couldn't return it to the water like that. Was the low point of the day, cleaned it and im gonna eat it but i probably wont enjoy it knowing i killed it.
