I Missed the Profusion Trade Show

I can't believe I did this. The trade show ran on Wed. and Thurs. It's over. I just checked the website today and found out. . . .

The Internet is installed and the cable tech is here now, The general contractor rolled his ankle and went to emergency clinic before coming here. We’re going out for second load for lazy lobster after doordash pizza

I forgot to pack s belt (wore sweats on drive up) so no pants want to fall off. Maybe I’ll pick one up in Freeport - love me some LL Bean.

Internet is installed
Who did you go with? We just started ou 14 day trial of T-moble 5g home. So far I'm impressed 250-300mb down, 10-50 mb up. If it continues like this will be saying so long to ATT

They're losing steam, thanks to the glut of online "brand ambassadors," "influencers," and shills for photo gear.
Still, trade shows can be fun, like going to the big Metro boat show in darkest February.
My take on 'em all and most other temptations? Just because you're on a diet doesn't mean you can't look at the menu!

Groggy this morning, spent 5hrs in ER with DW, didnt get home till after 2 this morning. She collapsed on me two times last night in the space of a few mins. First time she face planted in the floor with no warning. After checking her over, got her up, she walked three steps and collapsed again. This time she was fading in and out for a few minutes before she was alert enough to get up. Called 911, we had half the department here within mins when they heard who it was. She has a history of seizures but after running all the tests and scans all they could come up with was a bladder infection and mild dehydration. Course the medical wizards at the ER tried to claim it was a UTI the last time after she had a Grand Mal. So now its back to the neurologist to check her out and see if she needs a medication change.
Good lord. Sounds like she's stable now, at least. Hope she gets a better understanding of the event from the neurologist!

Speedy recovery to your DW!

Woohoo! The weekend is here! This was a rough week for me, but I made it!

Honey is integrating into the pack nicely, and becoming more comfortable with us, although she still shies at any sudden movement.

In other news, I tried my hand at an authentic French ratatouille, and it came out rather good if I might say so! 😁 We had it along with cubed chicken breast sauteed in garlic, onions, paprika, and a dry red wine.

@terri She felt fine on Thursday and bounced right back on Friday, which is strangely coincidental with how she did on previous seizures. Will have to wait and see, how she does going forward. Over the years I ran several seizure calls, some them were pretty bad, especially the kids.

@jeffashman Thank you. Good looking menagerie on the couch.

When I saw you'd made Ratatouille my mind immediately flashed the image of a rat in a chef's hat, thanks to a granddaughter who used to watch the movie of the same name.😁

Fidium Fiber. Spectrum covers the area for CATV. I only verified connection to work VPN at this point. I’ll play later.

We looked at T-Mo for home internet a while back but we would have had to switch our T-Mo plans and what they offered wasn’t as good ss what we already had with them.

One of our favorite movies, and the inspiration for this. My 14 YO granddaughter still asks to watch Ratatouille after all these years. 😁

Not sure about the presentation. Guess I prefer the Julia Child trad ratatouille variety that's more a vegetable stew. We have a very short window here for fresh late summer ingredients. Can be made in January but it's just not as good.

Just went with T-Mobile 5g home. We're out in the country, but I'm still getting 290mb down and 50-60mb up. Considering we've been living with 6mb down and 1.5mb up (on a good day) I'm smiling! Att took the federal dollars a few years ago and built a fiber optic cable to no where. I'm at the very outside limit from the only termination box they hooked up, hence the slow speed. There's another box less than 400 yards, but they never finished hooking it up, claimed they aren't interested in further expansion. 🤬

lol, they (NYT) want me to "sign up" to see the recipe. Not happening. I'll google it. I'm always looking for recipes. Meine Frau really liked what I made, so I may stay with it.

Here's a gift article link, you should be able to see the recipe: Ratatouille Recipe

If you can't, let me know and I'll copy it for you.
