We didn't have one of the those big console TVs. My Dad built shelving on one wall in the living room with cubbies for the TV, sterio, reel to reel, synthesizer and the bottom row had a slanted magazine shelf. Of course the TV was black/white because he said the color causes cancer.Yup. The late 50s-60s cohort was carpet-bombed with TV ads, many creepily aspirational for the time. But then the little dears lived in front of those horrid canoe-size console TVs...
Those relationships matter. Felt crappy about it but recently passed on a Scottish Deerhound pup offered by friends who run sheep outside Belleville, ON. Sweet beasts but just too much dog for now in terms of space and time. The family ruin is way better for interior/exterior space but needs long runs of extra fencing outside a too-small enclosed area. Love the big hairy lugs and hope to get one next litter. We picked up a 4 month old schnauzer. Quincy has been missing his Snickers since last year. Well get the pup home and Oscar has taken over mama dog duty playing with the pup and snuggles. Oscar let the little one chase him around the house. Quincy is not amused by the pup and is ignoring him. This is only day 1 so hoping they will all blend together.
Quincy must be the Alpha in the pack order. When we had three the oldest was the leader, she ruled with an iron fist. That didn't stop the 2nd in command from challenging her for the spot. Had a few bloody attempts but she was never overthrown. However the 2nd and last were best buds and played together constantly. We picked up a 4 month old schnauzer.
