The Coffee House

I hope you find some new coffee. That's disappointing when your favorite coffee company closes shop. I too once had to find a new one as well.
Many years ago when we were traveling a lot, I tried out various coffee roasters along the way. This was a small shop in an industrial complex, they didn't do any retail business, just wholesale and online. The owner was thrilled to have a visitor and we developed an instant friendship. Over the years we communicated, and ordered, until one day he just disappeared. His website simply said they had sold the business but no one reopened, and his email account and phones were closed. Very strange.

Wow that is really strange. It's almost as if they took the money and ran?

That's a sad thought 😔
Yup, but its peculiar that a business that had been going for many years, just suddenly disappeared without any notice. Hasn't been seen on FB since August (which is when the business closed)

Way to go Wisdom, what an age🤘...

I hope is happy now, or at peace, whatever happened. I almost wonder if he wanted to go away and start a new life.

A relative on my father's side of the family disappeared decades ago. He actually went out to buy cigarettes and was never seen again, like the stories you sometimes hear.

@cgw Your comment earlier about fish chowder really started the wheels turning in my brain. I added a Cajun spin and came up with my LA (lower alabama) Catfish Chowder. As Justin Wilson used to say "Whooeee", it was good. Have a few notes on a couple of tweaks for next time.

Well it finally happened! It wasn't a lot of snow but I couldn't help myself, needed to get on that iron horse and ride it! 😂

It snowed here too overnight but was raining by mid morning. It was pretty for the short time before it got washed away.

It snowed even more, it's been crazy windy too! Just had a 35mph wind gust and it was a completely white out! It's been freaky hearing the wind howling. Tomorrow is gonna be cold though.

I have posted a short reading of "'Pierre Burton's My Country'" chapter 11 "Ned Hanlon and the Golden Age of Sculling". It is less than 10 min. and covers the first couple of pages. If you visit Toronto's Centre Island, the west island has "Hanlon's Point" which was named honoring him. He set many records, some of which might still be standing. Canada still has competitive scullers (search "Marnie McBean"). NOTE: There are no pictures in this reading. I had pictures of a sign, but I could not find them. A picture of a sign is not a "big deal" anyway. . . .
