Pentax Q-S1 Dead?

I checked my Pentax Q-S1 recently and found it would not work. It will not turn on at all. I tried recharging the battery, and I have tested it and confirmed that it charged, so whatever is going wrong seems to be inside the camera body. There is probably a rechargeable battery built into the camera (probably a Ni-Cad) that has gone dead. I think this is repairable, but that would take time and money I cannot afford right now.

In case you are not familiar with this camera, I have attached a picture of it beside my Sony a6400. The Sony is quite a small camera, so the even smaller Pentax surprises people who see it:

That's sad. The Pentax Q series is one of the best vacation cameras around. It's so small that it carries easily.

I hope that didn't come straight out of camera, such low resolution. But pretty picture.
