Lost to time

The other day I was messing around with some data recovery software and I wanted to test it out on some old memory cards. I found a 16gb sandisk extreme that looked worn so I let the software run and I found a selection of photographs I took when I visited Boston in 2012. I was shocked to discover some photos I didn't have on my PC, either I deleted them not realizing they weren't terrible photos or by accident. I guess this is the reason why we should just keep photos for longer before deleting them. But it was cool to find some forgotten photos that still existed on a memory card despite it being overwritten thousands of times.

The fact it was still a raw file, I was able to save it and it didn't get corrupted.

This is a picture of the Custom House Tower in Boston, MA. Taken with a Nikon D7000 and a Tokina 12-24 f/4.

You know what is really weird? The day I recovered these images was June 11th. I took this photo on June 11th back in 2012. Haha what perfect timing!
