Fortunately it was parked in an old neighborhood.

We used to have a southern hemisphere version of GMC here, General Motors Holden. But there's no Holdens being built here anymore.

The car racing was Ford vs Holden, now its Chevy.

You know, looking at it again, I think this was a customized truck. The headlights were probably hand made. The front of the hood looks too bare to be "factory".

'58-'59 Apache. Makers often changed trim and light nacelles every year. Some on this model were painted or chrome--possibly a trim option or retrofit.

Yeah, I was scared to death to post this here. I knew knowledgeable car folks frequent this forum.
I have so much respect for you guys.

However, check this out:
Coincidentally, I saw a car at a gas station that looked very similar to a car that was deteriorating a couple blocks from where I live.
I would show the picture below of the car half restored and they would become so offended that the guy who was restoring it was doing it wrong.
Extra points if you can tell me if it's the same make or if there is any connection.
If you can identify both cars, I will post a picture of a pumpkin specter riding a blue bird.

OK. '32 Ford 2-door sedan. FYI, Bonnie and Clyde were killed in a '34 Ford V8 2-door sedan. No clue about the rust bucket.
Unless these are all your pix, posting stuff not yours from elsewhere is not on at TPF.

All mine. I try to give enough background as I post so members don't worry.
I would never just pull something off the internet.
I did admit that I did steal some quotes and applied them to my shoebox photos.
The EXIF gets stripped when I work on them in Photoshop.

Oh, I thought this was my shoebox thread. I got confused.
Just reread my text before the pictures.

But not this quote. It's all mine.
I Google the ones I care about.
My signature is original also.

Yeah dopey bloody Digger, was wondering what the hell was going on. I thought the car was really 1/2 painted out in the back yard, its 2 pics joined together.

I get it now🤣.
