During the wedding, between three photographers, we missed "The Kiss". The minister did it so quick, she didn't give us time to get into position to grab it. So just after the ceremony, I had them re-intact it but the lattice work is missing.

Could one of you photoshop experts place lattice work (like in the second picture) behind them, nicely out of focus?

You can get the full size image off my Flickr

Three photographers and no-one knew the kiss was coming??? Give you time?? What, like pause the ceremony and ask if you're ready?

TBH, I don't think adding lattice is going to make the image "better." Probably the opposite.

LOL Exactly my thoughts it comes right after the second "I Do".

I would say the bigger issue in the image is that the bride is slightly out of focus yet the grooms ear seems rather sharp.

I always tell my brides to try to kiss for a long time and even go for a 2nd kiss back to back. Sometimes it is hard to know when they are about to kiss at Catholic ceremony. Anyway, IMO first kiss isnt really all that important. Usually it is not that great anyway because the officiant is right behind them. I would not sweat it if you miss it. Photoshopping it is a bit silly.

I like it without the lattice personally. ps in some bokeh balls.

I would change it a bit more so it looks like an original.

I like it better with. The out of focus lattice makes the image looks sharper than it really is.

Some pretty good advice here from multiple people.

The only other thing I would do here is add a layer mask to the lattice work and drop the brightness just slightly to give it the effect that the light falling on the subject project shadows on the lattice. The composite is great, it just looks a little "off" on the edges. But then again, I nitpick about my shadows in my composites
