Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Not even sure where to start
I made custom pool cues and sold them internationally , plus other custom cue makers besides other well know custom cues makers cues.
I started with A Canon G10 , a Canon 3TI and now a Canon 5 D II photographing pool cues . and custom wood working.

I like wild life and land scape photography, some fish eye photography commercial and now Macro photography.
adding on a canon 100mm macro L and the EF MP-E 65 MM macro with 5 times magnification and electric focusing rail .
Table top Tripod and a Gear head. And different Bugs and small critters on there way.
Right now I am guessing I have spent more then 2300.00$ just for marco Photography , Not including lighting and

All my lenses are Canon , not sure how many,,, I have 6 or 7 L lenes .

So do I sound nuts ? And so feel the same as me ? ?

You're just a victim of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) we all suffer from it to some degree.

I have over 20. Lots of rarely used but interesting lenses. Becasue I do a lot of wilderness travel, that’s hard on camera equipment, I have every focal length backed up with at least 2 lenses. For wildlife, I can get to 300mm 4 different ways, some, light, some heavy, some middling, giving me a selection to choose from depending on the difficulty of the trip. Most lenses have a defined purpose. We have 5 macro’s 24, 50, 70, 90 and 100mm. The 50 and 70 are the least used. Mnay of my lenses are no longer commercially aailble. That makes them hard to sell, for some it took years to find them, and if sold I’d never get another, like my Sigma 24 macro, that’s treasured becasue of it’s small size, not much bigger than a TC.

Worse! Over the last 50+ years I've accumulated a large closet full of cameras, lenses, lighting, backdrops, modifiers, accessories, etc., PLUS a shop full of power tools and hand tools.🙄

No worries. It's all stored off-site in a secret, controlled-access, underground bunker next to mine.

I don't hate my money I just like hoarding camera gear more :)
I have several hundred lenses in a wide variety of mounts, around 100 cameras, and loads of ancillary equipment. I do seem to be getting my GAS a little under control at I saw 2 cameras I didn't have at the boot sale yesterday & didn't buy either despite good prices.

Unfortunately my underground storage is not dry enough for storing lenses... But I am extending the shed & including a darkroom, so some of the less moisture critical gear might go in there.

When I posted this thread I never thought about people having thousands of cameras.
I even thought about my finances and my camera habit and would of rated myself that I am fortunate.

I can only say wow that is a ton of cameras and lenes. I have tough time remembering
all the settings on my Canon 5 DII.

You make me feel better about the amount of money I have spent on my camera equipment,,

Do you have a favorite brand and model of camera ?
I have always bought Canon cameras and lenes.

I would like to take some classes on Photography and lighting and creating certain setting or back ground scenes.

My prime interest has always been portraits, I started with ambient lighting but when I discovered the level of control with the right lighting I never looked back. By all means jump in.

Understanding controlled lighting is a huge help in understanding ambient lighting conditions. So many of the things I look for in a landscape is lighting conditions.

The sun coming thorugh clouds acting as a spotlight.

The use of back lighting in some situations.

All lessons learned in a sutdio lighting classm back in ’67. There are many more. Photography is capturing images with light. The light is one of the most important elements. When you’ve taken the time to create “perfect” lighting conditions in the studio, it’s short jump to looking for extraordinary conditions in the field.

Love Pentax. K1000 my first cam (X-mas gift in 1980) and my LX are my favorites. But I also like my Canon A2E (only cam I bought new).

My favorite 120 cam.......Voigtlander
