I love magpies, such lovely colours, never seen any like these though with white backs.
There's a few groups out at the reserve, this group there are 2 males and a female. The one pigging out on seed is the really friendly male that will take food from your hand.

Males have a white back and the girls is a mottled grey.

I dont have to look for them out there, they find me🤣.

Hello Sharon,

Australian magpies are an Artamidae. Some Naturalists say the the Australian magpie
is a corvid, but all agree it's not closely related to your Eurasian magpie
which is a Corvidae like ravens and crows.
