Got my 1st ever fruits off the young raspberry bush.

Wasn't sure which was properly ripe for picking so i nabbed 3 different ones. The light red one on the left was still hard and a tad bitter & the dark purple one was really sweet but really mushy so over done.

The middle one, red turning purple was perfect...

Took some pot cuttings from the outdoors for an unwanted indoor run, gambled on 2 hermi seeds that gave me 2 mutants & another seed i thought was a photo period was actually an auto flower.

Got 2 females gowing out there so took the cuttings from them. Let this fella have a feed while i was getting them done & then put him in the tomato garden.

Will keep these in mind this morning when shoveling, salting and running the snow blower...
The Wax Leaf Begonias are also still blooming... hopefully the sight of them will fill you with warmth... if not, try some brandy...

You're mean, but the begonias do look gorgeous. ;)

22F outside my window right now! We had some flurries but avoided the main snow dump that's torturing <cough> other parts of the North right now.

Petunias in a basket just loving this weather...

Get some help, Jeff--soon! Laffs aside, those are lovely. Hellish weather here--huge snow squalls off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. White-outs and tons to shovel/snoblow. Seed/bulb catalogs usually arrive around now--much relished garden porn. Problem this year? We're into the 3rd week of a Canada Post strike. Big savings on Xmas cards and postage! Amazon guys and couriers working 24/7.Pour me an Old-Fashioned...

They said there is no help for me... 😂 My wife loves northern Wisconsin and suggested we move there, because she was a summer camp nurse there... in the summer... I told her, fine, but we need a house with a good basement, a generator, and a good boiler or other heating system, because we are going to have to store at least four months worth of food, because we aren't going anywhere for four months, and I ain't shovelin' no snow... so far, we are still in Texas... 😁 Oh, yeah, I was born a Yooper, so the cold harsh North is in my blood, but I still don't want to go back to that...
