I have just finished uploading a longer version of the above reading. The earlier file was about 1 min 40 sec. The longer version is still under 5 min -- not really very long at all. Why the effort? The book covers events from about 1914 to around 1917. The relevant people were from around 15 years old to around 30 years old in 1914. On a guess, I think there probably is no-one left alive from this group. When I realized that, it occurred to me that it was unlikely that I would find out anything more about this topic than I already knew, so it seems like a good time for me to make something more significant than my earlier piece. On the other hand, I knew that I would not be covering very much of the book because it is still subject to Copyright. I don't know what the law actually says about this, but I am confident that my reading that much is not going to upset the Copyright owners. It took me a few days to get this done, but that is far less than the thousands of lives affected by the events. It isn't perfect, but again, I'm happy with the result. NOTE: Again, this was not recorded using my GF3, but I am putting it "here" because it was recorded in Toronto, and in this case, in the Fall.
