Tried something new with these photos. I'm trying to work with the emotion in them...in a odd way, I guess. I kind of like the way it looks. What do you think?

In number one... the lite in the back of his head is increadibly distracting. Otherwise good.

yeah...I guess the light's a little weird...I like it for some reason...Kind of adds to the anxiety of the photo, for me.

Is the selective color in #2 terrible? Would it be better without it?

IMO, yes. Selective color only works (for me) in very rare and specific situations. I found this out the hard way after displaying some of my work in a gallery. A few of the pieces were SC. EVERYONE thought that those were the worst images of the lot and were ONLY sub-par because of the SC. It's all subjective though....

Again, I really like #3.
