Dark line at bottom of photos w/ studio lights

I purchased a somewhat cheaper set of soft box lights. Has a wireless trigger. I have been having problems with there being a dark line or shadow in all of my pictures. I adjust the shutter speed to 160 or lower and it still seems to do the same. Any suggestions?

what is the sync speed on your camera? It varies by camera.

I have been looking through my camera, Nikon D3200, and have not been able to find where I can change the sync speed

D3200 max is 1/200. But I've also found if you mix that with cheap triggers it's less in some cases. They're just not matching up with your shutter properly. I'd recommend upgrading to triggers that will at least keep up with your camera.

I like the YN622. Make sure you get the YN622n (n=Nikon) and not the YN622c.
