Located in south St. Louis County on the river. I arrived early today in very gloomy weather. Got to the overlook in time to see the ARTCO boat Sierra Dawn pushing a full tow up river. Cliff Cave park get's it's name from a cave in the cliff -- duh. Two centuries ago it was used as cold storage for wine and the merchant at the time built the stone arch front. Today it's home to an endangered bat species. Fuji X-T2 w/18-55mm

Neat place. Back in the 80's I took many photos of the caves (in and out) before they got a foot path put in or boarded up.

Cool! Back in the late 60's early 70's we used to go over into Southern IL to an abandoned mine to party. No idea where or how to get there anymore. Just remember the tunnels were large with huge pillars.

Nice set. Reminds me of my time living in Illinois as a kid in the 60's & 70's.
