These photos were taken on the several of the local beaches. The logs are from log rafts that tugboats pull along the river and sometime some of the logs break away and wash ashore.

LOL. interesting subject matter. Although a bit wet and sandy. What do the logs help contain?

They contain other logs. Trees are cut upstream, assembled into huge, long raft like shapes and tugs are towing them to wherever along the coast of British Columbia.
