Well, like the title says, what got you into photography? Only rule, share an example.

Traveling to different parts of the world.

My first camera was a plastic-bodied box camera with red-window, knob film advance. I payed ten cents for it at a school rummage sale. He's a photo of my brother made in the spring of 1973 or 74. This scan is made from a vintage, pebble-finished color print made back in the day.

I had been involved with photography before, using everything from Nikon F to Rollei SL66 but gave it up because spending time in the darkroom was just too difficult to do with a family.
When I took my first trip back to Asia in 97, I took along a little Canon Elph APS camera and caught this snap and that energized me into going back to photography, this time with digital. I quickly went from a P&S Sony to a D70, D200 and now D700.
