ok. If you calculate the number of calories of fuel which the digger burns in one second, you could convert calories/second consumption into watt second output.

As with studio gear, watt second here would not consider efficiency, and not all the energy consumed is turned into mechanical energy; not all the energy consumed in studio gear is turned into light energy.
