I didn't even notice the legs being tucked. Interesting. I didn't even know they could do that!

Early winter in Texas so would be non-breeding but I believe it is a young bird. I had to really search at the time to figure out what it was and this is apparently the only shot I have. I really was thinking it was standing on the beach. From 2016.

Maybe even more than that here by the SF Bay. I had a "No Seagulls" rule for a couple of years, but now I'll shoot them if the light is right. They're actually beautiful and graceful, as long as you can ignore their behavior :wink:
