Ok, so got the parts Kiev 2a apart and broken down.
Very very minor differences between them. The 2a was made as they ran out of German parts, so they tried to keep it the same.
The shutter curtains ... the important part for me ... the springs are not damaged, and they are a drop in replacement.
Got it into the Contax II ... much fiddling around to get it all working correctly (been many months since I worked on the Contax).
The Contax/Kiev design has many interconnecting parts that are unique to its design ... so you need to ensure that nothing is out of place or bend out or worn out ... analyze ... adjust ... test ... analyze ... adjust ... test ...
I am close ... shutter speeds are about 1/3 stop slow ... got tired, so will leave it for another time.
