I don't recall that it was an issue when new but of late I've noticed there is a bit of play in the position of the flash head in relation to the body when it is positioned "straight ahead". I use it with a Better Beamer and 400mm telephoto lens. The result of the slight droop is that only the lower half of the image is illuminated while the upper half is dark. My solution was to glue a couple of strips of plastic under the flash head to keep it in position so it illuminates the whole frame. I wonder if anyone else who uses a similar set up has experienced this.
