Osprey in his nest

I got lucky and spotted this Osprey in his nest, and he gave me some great shots when he decided to stretch out his wings. Here's a couple i processed so far.

There are skids that have been placed on top of telephone poles randomly so they can create a nest. This one was about 50 miles away, wife and i were just out for a scenic drive and i spotted some movement in the nest as i drove by. So i turned around and got some great shots as he decided to stretch etc.

We need less paddocks and houses & more trees.

Glad there taking to the phone poles. Our cocky's only nest in hollows of old dead trees and there isn't much real estate for them, would love to crane in a 20 meter old tree trunk so they could nest in the backyard.
