Old Speedlite 300EZ flash compatibility

I just got a new Canon EOS Rebel T3i -- I have a 12-year-old Speedlite 300EZ flash accessory that I used with my old Canon EOS 650 film camera -- can I use it on the new dSLR? The shoe fits, so to speak... Thanks!

I had the same question about using my old 420EZ with my 60D. Answer is: No, not really. The flash will fire, but fully manual only. Needs to be an 'EX' series flash for E-TTL to work.
