I find something compelling about this image. I really like how the water between the pier and bank mirrors the shore...

The pier is great, but I don't think the foreground adds anything. I'd crop some of it and go with a longer format. Did you get any closer shots of the wood? Looks like there's a lot of interesting pattern and texture in there.

I think this is what bothers me as well. I wanted to keep the sweep of the shore across the frame, but it includes too much on the lower right as a result. A tough day of shooting - 10 stop ND filter, sun decided to come out and reflect off the water directly into camera, VERY windy which turned my lens hood into a sail ...

Cropping is not ideal, but you've given me an idea. I'll need to wait till later.
