I'm not much of a shopper, but when I heard that the Country Club Plaza area in Kansas City featured interesting architecture I decided to visit. The Plaza opened in 1923. It is considered to be the first large outdoor shopping center in the United States.

The following scenes caught my eye as I walked through the Plaza:

Very artful shots👍, what's the Psycho Bunny about?

Thanks for this. A pleasant surprise, with fond memories for me.

I lived at 700 Ward Parkway for a few years before I got married and moved to Canada. I used to take my camera out on Saturday and Sunday mornings and just walk The Plaza, and shoot. It's a great place to live, and walk, and "be" - the Plaza, I mean. Did you venture up to the Kemper and the Nelson Atkins with your camera?

(They say there are more fountains on the Plaza than anywhere else. Other cities claim the same!)

Thank you...as a matter of fact I visited the Kemper right after this photo shoot at the Plaza. I also went to the Nelson Atkins, but didn't take any photographs there. I then stayed downtown for three nights. I'm editing those photographs right now. I hope to post a collection of my favorites from Kansas City before too long.
