So I picked up 2 more Kodak 104's free from work (Now 8 in my collection including the one that was my first camera).

I don't remember the camera, but I do remember shooting 126.

I often hear people incorrectly refer to Polaroid cameras as "Instamatics"

Instamatic was Kodak's trademark name for their easy-load 126 cartridge film cameras, launched in Feb 1963 with the Instamatic 50. Kodak then called some of their 110 cameras Pocket Instamatic in the 1970's.
I also have a Kodak 100 126 that is very similar to the 104.

It's trademarked, and it got used like biro or hoover to mean any similar product, like box brownie i guess :)

Sheetrock
Jell-O
Jacuzzi
Kleenex

Sometimes, a trademark name becomes so common it enters the everyday language.

Had a poxy little Keystone that took 126 when I was a tyke. Craptastic camera but it froze so many memories! Always loaded, it got me into the deplorable habit of buying film and stashing it in my Mom's 'fridge. At least that's how she saw it.

Rollei.....This weekend.............................

I'm going to tape that number hole from the inside as not to destroy that C-22 label.

I’m going to scotch tape that to my frigidaire!

Preparing the back. Taped on the inside I noticed the gaffers tape was ruff to the touch. Added acid free scotch tape so not to scratch the base of the film.

Added a small piece to fit inside the hole to hide the sticky part with added light blockage.
Label saved!
