Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I have stupid question. I hike with my GF and I absolutely love to take portraits of her. She loves to pose for me too.
We go on very long hikes and we don't have assistants. It's hard for me to carry lighting equipment on a hike because it's just too heavy. We also don't have power sources etc.

Given the above, we are only using iPhone 15 Max Pro and Post processing and while we have got some spectacular portraits ... harsh shadows on face continue to be our enemy.

Given that, can you recommend any equipment which I can use to negate the harmful effects of strong light? I can think of reflector ... but reflector can easily be blown away if there is wind.

So I guess the common sense answer is nothing... but I thought I'll check.

Stupid question... is there an external flash which can pair with iPhone? that way I can do strobes and iPhone?

This is an old post. ProPhoto flashes will sync with an Iphone but their gear is very expensive. Godox use to but no longer does with its app.

A small led panel with a hot shoe clamp or small tripod/light stand should be able to help.
Links to light style and clamp below.

Put your Iphone on a tripod and use a hand held collapsible reflector. You can move a lot light even on a cloudy day. LED continuous lighting could help, especially to lift the shadows in the eye sockets, but the smaller ones don't have enough umph to do much, and there's the issue of differing color temperatures. There are actually several apps out there that can trigger a remote speedlight. The compact size and power of a speedlight is superior to the other options. This is a new one out that supposedly works with any hot shoe flash and IPhone or android. Tric | The first Xenon flash trigger for iPhone , then as mentioned above there's a Profoto app that works with their lights.
