My only beef is the price.
But then there's the review...
*Reinventing the X-100 series' hybrid viewfinder for the 100RF required a bag of yen, hence its absence.
*Never use the flash on my X-100T, so why not skip it on the 100RF?
*The TC toggle is pure Fuji genius. Reviewer never quite got the huge advantage of the big sensor coupled with this feature.
*That beautiful build quality does cost money. Still, Fuji is fonder of plastic now than in the roll-out years of the X-T and X-100 camera lines. The 100RF reprises that original bomb-proof construction.
*IBIS was a costly and unnecessary feature Fuji skipped.
*This is a killer street camera. Documentary wedding shooters like Kevin Mullins will be all over the 100RF.
*Fact remains, you either "get" Fujifilm design or you don't.

Another take from a pro:

As I laways do I look at images on flicker after searching under the naem of the camera.

This one seems underwhelming…..

This one is very good, but could have been taken with many cameras.

I have seen some night shots of various cities taken with other cameras I suspect woudl be better taken with this camera, however, none of htose have been posted.

ANyone have soething that shows off it’s talent?

Ho-hum shots with no DR demo. I'll take Kevin Mullins' and other pro views any day. Fuji doesn't release product that doesn't perform. Unfortunate if you're evaluating cameras solely from online images.

I'd look at the other photos... namely those of people

Personally i'd take photos of my loved ones and other people that matter.

I really wish Apple would release a larger than 24" iMac so I can replace my over dozen year old clunker.

I did look at the people images… but nothing that stood out for me. I anything the maxim “If you arent already taking good images, buying a better camera won’t help.” comes to mind. Taking ho hum images with a great camera is a diservice to the camera.

Buy a Mac Mini and you ca put a 27”to 32” screen on it and get an M4 chip. YOu won’t believe the speed. My old 27” iMac worked until I took it to the dump. But in warm weather it overheated., and the monitor shut down. Then I was stuck. The MacMini lets me use whatever screen I want.

"Unfortunate if you're evaluating cameras solely from online images."

If I only display images on a 4k TV, then on-line images are just fine.
I've always wondered when people say this, how much resolution does the average image need to be?
But, since you made the comment, exactly what size and in what medium will the benefit be apparent? That way I can at least make a decision on whether it's something I would benefit from..

"Fuji doesn't release product that doesn't perform."
Ya, I don't know of any surviving camera company that produces product that doesn't perform. What does that even mean?

MY comment would be, there is a look to small size pixels that tends to stand out in high density sensors. Same as a 20 MP 1 inch sensorsor 60 MP FF sensors. The king of high DR images would be a Hassleblad and Pentax 645s. But it doesn't appear that DxO has tested any Fujifilm equipment so who knows?

I watched the posted video, and I can say, I can’t think of a single photogrpapher I know who might choose it. The limitations are extensive.

Just a heads up, unless you own the copyright on an image you are not allowed to post an image on TPF. Instead you need to post a link that refers back to the image.

The GFX100RF goes for 7,000 clams in the the True North Strong and Free but I suspect it will sell, especially if Fujifilm sniffs the economic winds and offers roll-out discounts/incentives. Can only hope its likely success will launch another, more affordable model. Looks like a winner against the current competition.

Thanks for that. having been a teacher I know there are exceptions legally for images used for educational purposes, but, I understand that site policy always takes preference. I assume anyone who wanted to see the images hs seen them and I’ll just delete them.

For the purpose of clarification... Even when the owner of the image allows for Flickr to create bulletin board code to hotlink to their images?

Man, ask the refs directly. Still, if you didn't make it, don't post it. Seems clear enough. Besides, this is bigly OT. Remember the GFX 100RF???

I'm the thread starter... ;-)

For 2 decades Flickr has given the creators of the images the tools to prevent sharing of images. So odds are the photog with early access to the image wants it shared given no restrictions.

Not nitpicking but pointing out @21limited did provide the URL and name of the photog that created the images and never took credit for the work.

What he did is no different than hotlinking YouTube videos.

I'm thinking this way...

If the purpose of buying the medium format is to take photos within uncontrolled lighting then it is pretty spectacular.

I did a lot of outdoor wildlife and sports photography with APS-C and FF so I understand how to work with sunlight. I see the potential with these MF reviewer images.

Like say if my main intent is to take photos in personal, family and work events with best image quality possible without bringing a soft box or controlled directional lighting then it's a great camera that surpasses other fixed lens cameras.

Given the price point and priority on weight and physical dimensions I can see those with disposable income (i.e. baby boomers aged 60 & older) being the primary market.

A decade ago I recall reading a CIPA(?) study on digital still cameras and they described the target demo... other than working photogs are those who are now aged 45 & older.
