I recently returned from a long road trip...from Chicago to Calgary and back. The trip included a three night stop in Edmonton. Here are some photographs from my stay in Edmonton:
1- Downtown Edmonton from the Strathearn Drive Lookout
2- Skyscrapers, including the Bell Tower, behind Rogers Place (home of the Edmonton Oilers)
3- Rogers Place
4- Architectural abstract
5- Neon signs
6- Walterdale Bridge
7- Westmount Junior High School (built 1913)
8- Art Gallery of Alberta
9- Stantec Tower, the tallest building in Edmonton at 66 stories
10- Edmonton City Hall
11- Pedestrian bridge at the West Edmonton Mall
12- Skating rink inside West Edmonton Mall. By store count, the mall is the largest in the Western Hemisphere. This mall was super crowded...and the parking lots have space for 20,000 vehicles. There was much inside the mall that I wasn't able to photograph: the world's largest indoor wave pool, the world's tallest indoor roller coaster, etc.
From Edmonton, I went to Banff National Park...and then to Calgary before making my way home.
Thanks again for looking...
Glenn
