Another nightclub band outing

G'day all

Phil's been out again to another nightclub - the band was a 9-piece job ... 5-1/2 wind, 1-1/2 strings, keys + vocal. The vocal fella let the team down - hope he keeps his day job!

1)- the team

typical exif - Panny Lumix FZ-300; all at F2,8; speeds 1/15 to 1/40; lens from 70mm to 600mm FFequiv; ISO 1000

2)- Trumpet


3)- Sax


4)- Trombone


5)- Strings & wind

Nice set, those indoor shots in a very dark environment are tough i'm sure.

Thanks for the response ... tho shots like these are pretty easy for me using the Lumix
The FZ-300 is a constant-aperture lens, so I keep F2,8 right thru the full 24x zoom range
In dSLR equivalents it is 18 to 435mm - at F2,8 all the way should I need to use it at max aperture

Exposure-wise, the camera is set to EV -2/3 or -1,0 to overcome the stage lighting issues, with ISO set to 800 or 1600 depending upon the performance type. All images are JPG and ex-camera, unedited except for cropping if needed and downsizing to 1000px wide
