My X-A3 arrived a couple of weeks ago with a non functioning hot shoe. I returned it for replacement. The replacement arrived today and, like its predecessor, the hot shoe didn't work. I gave up, returned it and ordered an E2S with 18-55 zoom. Hopefully the hot shoe will work.

Blessing in disguise?

Blessing in disguise?

Perhaps so. One of the appealing things about the A3 for me was the wider angle of view at the short end of the kit lens. I guess I'll have to go ahead with the 14 f2.8. So my original A3 purchase has turned into an E1, an E2s and four lenses. When will I ever learn? ;)

I have to admit that I really like the operational ergonomics of the E bodies. Actual shutter speed dials and aperture rings on the lenses are very intuitive and comforting to an old film shooter like me.
