To be underwhelmed.....
Like the rest of you, this whole 'no work' thing is getting rather old, rather quickly. To amuse myself, I decided to dust off the macro gear and have a futz about with that... one of the things I've never really played with is focus stacking, so... here we go: A 17 image stack, using 1mm increments. Not exciting, nor even particularly artistic, but for a first effort, I'm reasonably happy.
For those interested, the set-up: D850 with 105mm AF-D Micro lens and a 36mm extension tube. A ring flash for illumination and my rather elderly Manfrotto focusing rail.
(nb: This was not of the image above, but the set-up was identical)
