Thanks, yes, to me pidgeons always seem a bit half witted but this guy looks quite confident.
The non city variety (who tend to be in bad shape with club feet and filthy plumage) are really quite beautiful with their translucent feathers even if they are everywhere and described as flying vermin by some!

What I find interesting about pigeons is that I can see them from my front door next to a very busy street about 50 yards away, but they never come into the neighborhood, so they are never at the feeder. It's really strange behavior.

They are never at my Dad's feeder either, but if you scatter food on the ground they will appear.
