Hey guys, I just won this auction for this camera on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290174573530&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=019

Am I getting my money's worth paying $300? I am new to medium format and want to get into it.

But what do you guys think? Was that a good price to pay for that camera. Looks almost perfect.

Couldn't tell you about how that stacks up to average prices, but I'm sure it's a great camera and you'll be able to take some beautiful photos with it. Drag about the big scratch on the taking lens, but then the beauty of that is you can get another set of lenses so it's not like you're "stuck" with that. Hopefully it doesn't affect image quality too much. Congrats.

From here it looks like the scratch is on the upper viewing lens.

$300 is a good price. I paid $425 for my C330S with an 80mm lens. The 65mm lens is a nice workable wide angle that you can do a lot with. Your lens is the older chrome version, so the coating is light. Beware of lens flare. My 80mm was also chrome, and I had to be careful about sunlight with it. Subsequently got a black 55mm lens and have not had any problems with flare. You might want to add the 80mm lens to your kit; if you do, get the black version, as they can still be serviced by Mamiya, last I heard. Once your chrome lens develops problems, it's pretty much history, unless you have a second one for parts.

You are right and I stand corrected, thanks.
