Childhood Innocence

I took these around 5 years ago, with my first slr, a Nikon f60, my first ever portraits. Not done any since, actually, as have focussed more on landscape. I printed them myself, also a first time job and probably far from perfect. I did not know much about photoshop, hence two aren't nicely framed.

The first and last one are really good, I like them a lot. The second one to me is just okay. Good posts

I like the first best of all and how the light gets caught in her eyes and makes them shine a little, showing us her iris so well, although this is sort of black&white ... well ... monochrome ... kind of magenta&white or so...

I really like the last one. It's a good close-up, I think. Very nice crop.

Thanks. And yes, they are black and white. I printed them myself in a bathroom set up as a darkroom, so not the easiest of conditions, plus I was totally new to it all at the time. I also like the first and last best, personally. I tried several crops with the last one, as it was tricky to get a framing I was half happy with. I cannot wait to get my dslr so I can get back into this as I do love portraiture and exploring different ways of capturing faces, in natural situations. I preferred to do it in natural surroundings,so all these kids were shot outside.
