Ray, I have to say you did not look as comfortable today as you do when you are wading through a swamp with no pants on to shoot some Herons. Today’s wildlife was a little different from what you usually shoot. It was sure nice to see you Daisy and Maria again. I have already shown Berni the photos I took of Maria and she loved them. I will post some soon, sure glad you guys made it.

This guy was all in for having our mini paparazzi photograph him. He was all smiles all the way.

We managed to crawl down some of the back allies of the streets. All I can say are there are some really interesting places back there. This caught my eye as I was leaving one of them
http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-12/564918/CRW_1675A.jpg
Suzanne had a bit of an issue with this guy. Seems he wanted $$$ to have his pic taken. I followed him around his shop for a bit and he finally posed....sort of....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: If that glare could kill...

Carl... those shots are awsome. I remember the wall guy as well... I believe that he had blue hair if memory serves.... he did move cuz I never got to take his pic. I tried to get a shot of the caged man - battery died just as I snapped that shot :(
Here is another angle of the angry shop owner (I seemed to have this effect on a number of people today). BTW, I wasn't even trying to take HIS photo... he wanted money from me to take pictures of his dried fish!

Ah. Cool. Meet-up pics
Wonderful ones so far. Absolutely smashing.
It does look a bit on the chiller - erm: chilly side, but the sky is nicely open. No rain (or snow, for that matter!).
Coolest people shots and those of TPFers, but I miss the salute so far!
Ray, you MUST have taken something worth showing. Must. I am sure.
C'mon, this is the meet-up thread, not DA.
Post more ... and more ... see how much we posted after the London Meet-Up!

Suzanne, you have some really cool images there. The last one with the balls rocks. I like the guy in the flight suit, reminds me of a CBC comedian but I can’t remember who. He also still has his lens cap on. I remember the smiling guy, he was really nice and showing us his crabs. Ever seen a sick pumpkin?
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b220/airic2001/tpfto200610297986copy.jpg
So this guy was holding a rope to suspend a giant paper skull
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b220/airic2001/tpfto200610297990copy.jpg
And people were asked to hold a rope tied to the skull while a girl read a story about Halloween to the kids

I'm just blown away by everyone's shots. I think "hey, I was standing there too, why didn't I think to shoot it from that angle?" It is very very cool and informative to see how and what others chose to photograph. And it was a ton of fun 'to boot'. It takes a lot to get me cold, dunno why., I almost never wear a winter coat, never where gloves or mits, ... that photog was commenting on us as we all were "phushing"<<< I know that is spelt wrong, but it means "reviewing our images".. he is a die hard film shooter, and felt we were all wasting our time., he was dressed up like a camera clown, 3-4 assorted film cameras and 3-4 camera bags.. etc. more of a showboat then a photog imo.

Eric, that's great... thanks for the help  Sorry for the confusion though. I know WHERE the place is (Simcoe Street across from Roy Thompson Hall), just not WHAT the place is. No need to be jealous of my going back down there again either. Mostly took some "from the hip shots" (thanks for that idea Raymond) while I was running an errand - no big deal.
