question about the electronics of it

i was looking into them and on the website it says it dosnt act electronically with the body or somethign to that matter. does this mean that the exposure meter wouldnt work with my 35mm rebel k2?

I think you left out some details. What are you talking about? What are "they" which you were looking in to?

if you go to the buy me page this is what it says Note: a Lensbaby does not communicate electronically with your camera body

On canon bodies you will not have a problem with exposure. Just set your camera to aperture priority mode and fire away. In AP mode the camera meters off of the light that hits the internal meter.

Please note if you use extension tubes, or telextenders you "may" get problems as they might get confused.
