macro lense for professional use on budget

I have been toying with my old Canon AE-1 and macro lense and Im just not getting the carity I want. I have a product photo shoot comming up (I dont usualy shoot macro photography). Anyway, I was thinking about getting a good macro for my Nikon Manual SLR. Id like to get something on budget for now until I know if I will wind up doing more product photography. Any recomendations? Or tips for product photography?

You could try a macro bellows attachment...which would allow you to focus you lenses much closer.

You could try extension tubes which do the same.
