View Full Version : Anyone used expired tri x
Picked up a roll a little while ago, shot it, and it's in my fridge, i can't develop it yet cos im overseas. But anyone know how itll be given that:
- its tr-x 1.5 years expired
- has been kept in normal conditions (on a shop shelf with no direct sunlight but no refridgeration)
- shot at 400
- with a red filter
any thoughts?
(got it free btw :))

What's the worst that can happen? Develop it and see.

I use outdated stuff that isnt exactly kept in the best conditions. But becasue I am not the most picky, I have not had any problems. I can understand if the shots for a clien or something, but you should be fine. Try it out, whats the worst that could happen

Many moons ago I bought about 20 rolls of 120 BW Tri X and they were kept non refrigerated and were past their expiry date by 3-4 years. Pics came out fine, as a matter of fact one of my prized photos is of my mother and that came from one of these rolls.

might be outa date but you wont have to eat it, same as above, use outdated many times with no probs, fridged it'll keep longer, allow it to return to normal temp before processing and I would dev as soon as you return.
