This, JohnE, is the reason why you wouldn't find any waterfall in the area where I live:

Wow that is flat, guess you have to go a long way to get relief in the landscapes. Glad to see your taking more pictures in the evening, the light is so much better and personally I find shadows can make a landscape more interesting. Good shots, those wind mills are huge.

"Hertz Mountains" .... I thought, huh? What has he got to do with our mountains?

Until I realised you mean "Harz".

Yes, Harz is in North Germany, some 2 1/2 hours drive from where we live.
THOSE are mountains all right!
Probably with creeks. Even creeks that "fall" :)

But not here...

hahah I didn't know that Graham owns mountains... and bastard didn't invite us there :P kidding heheheh well... the landscape around my city is almost the same :P now we even have a few windmils like that! :D
