To get rid of this guy chewing his fingernails in the background? This photo would look sweet without him if it was more clouds. I tried clone but I'm not very good! Any help would be appreciated.

That's awesome! Nice attempts both of you. May i ask how you did it?

I made a new layer and filled that in with some different shades of gray, selected a couple of clouds and adjust their shades and orientation and put them in the bottom left to fill in the dead space
